Easy crochet project for jar cozies. Watch the video for a step by step tutorial or look at the pattern I have written out for you below.
Note: When buying straws make sure the hole in the lid is the same diameter as the glass straw.

Supplies:
-500 ml mason jar which I use in the video for the tutorial. Or 250 ml jar. Change in pattern for this size is included below.
-USG 4.55mm crochet hook
-darning needle with large eye
-scissors to cut yarn
-Bernat Handicrafter cotton yarn. Medium 4 weight. Colour potpourri ombre. You will need aprox. 55yds for 500mm jar
-Crochet place marker. I use a bobby pin.
My version of a crochet pattern for 500 mm mason jar cozy. If it is confusing then I would suggest you watch the video.
1. Start by making a magic circle or ring
2. 8 SC into the magic ring. Cinch up magic circle slightly
3. Now 8 SC in the round again. Cinch up magic circle tightly.
Row 1 Increasing: *1 SC into first SC, 2 SC into 2nd SC* repeat this pattern in the round. (12 SC in total)
Row 2 increasing: Repeat row 1. (18 SC in total)
Row 3 increasing: Same as row 1. (27 SC in total)
Row 4 to aprox. row 22: 1 SC into each SC in the round. Continue until you have reached the the bottom of the rim of your jar.
Note: Try and crochet your last row on the tighter side so it fits nice and snug on your jar.
Changes for 250mm mason jar
Crochet hook USF 3.75mm
Row 3 increasing: *1 SC in next 2 SC's. In third SC do 2 SC's*.
Row 4 to aprox row 20: 1 SC into each SC in the round.
