Mask Geyser (1 to 11 August 2025)
Geysers are hot springs that episodically erupt columns of water. They occur in few places on Earth. The highest concentration of geysers anywhere is at the Yellowstone Hotspot Volcano in northwestern Wyoming, USA.
Mask Geyser is a multivent, fountain-type geyser in the western Fountain Group of Yellowstone’s Lower Geyser Basin. It’s about 160 meters due west of Jelly Geyser and consists of four vents in a subcircular crater about 4 meters in diameter. Mask Geyser cycles from low water to high water to overflowing. Runoff drains to the north and south, then drains westward and percolates downward into weathered gravel. During times of high water and overflow, low to moderately low splashing occurs - this occasionally leads to proper eruptions. Eruption splashing varies in intensity, height, and duration. At least three vents participate in eruptions.
Filmed from the Fountain overlook platform. All clips have been muted due to wind and hominid vocalizations - no natural sounds from the geyser are present.

White Dome Geyser (5 June 2024)
Geysers are hot springs that episodically erupt columns of water. They occur in few places on Earth. The highest concentration of geysers anywhere is at the Yellowstone Hotspot Volcano in northwestern Wyoming, USA.
White Dome Geyser has one of the largest geyserite cones in all of Yellowstone. It is the most significant and most active member of the White Dome Group. It has an old, large, projecting, whitish gray to pinkish-orangish cone of geyserite (siliceous sinter) that sits atop a larger, low, paleo-hot spring geyserite mound.
White Dome Geyser’s eruptions are moderately frequent, originate from a fairly small vent, and are almost always two minutes long. Eruptions are not predictable, as intervals are rather erratic - they often occur every 20 to 30 minutes or so, but known intervals range from 9 minutes to over two hours. Short-duration spitting or very low spouting occasionally occurs. Sometimes, minor eruptions lasting 10 to 15 seconds will occur. Spitting or minor eruptions can ~closely precede a normal eruption.

Atomizer Geyser (2026)
Geysers are hot springs that episodically erupt columns of water. They occur in few places on Earth. The highest concentration of geysers anywhere is at the Yellowstone Hotspot Volcano in northwestern Wyoming, USA.
Atomizer Geyser consists of two adjacent geyserite cones located 52 meters west-southwest of the center of Artemisia Geyser’s pool in the Cascade Group of Yellowstone’s Upper Geyser Basin. Atomizer has minor and major eruptions. Minor eruptions are about half-a-minute to a little over one minute in duration and consist of a relatively slender, slightly angled column of water issuing from Atomizer’s western cone. Minors occur in series, and intervals between individual eruptions shorten as a major eruption is approached. Between most minors, Atomizer’s western vent has episodic filling-overflowing-draining events. Non-“quick comeback” major eruptions occur 1 to 2 hours after the last minor eruption in a series. A “quick comeback” major eruption occurs about 5 to 15 minutes after the beginning of the last minor eruption in a series. Between the last minor and a major, frequent low splashing occurs in the western vent. Major eruptions are longer in duration than minors and include steaming and some water issuing from the eastern vent, as well as spouting from the western vent. During major eruptions, Atomizer’s western vent alternates between water-dominated spouting and forceful steam emissions, the latter sometimes accompanied by chugging sounds.
