Think Marvel still respects Cable? Inglorious X-Force turns him into Kamala Khan’s personal hype man — and it’s embarrassing. Tim Seeley’s X-Force doesn’t build a new era for the team… it builds a pedestal for “President Kamala Khan.”

Cable shows up looking like a legend and the premise actually has promise — then the book speed-runs every interesting idea just to deliver one of the most forced Kamala validation scenes Marvel’s pushed in a long time.

Kamala doesn’t just reject X-Force. She talks down to Cable, mocks the entire concept, and casually negotiates a “trial period” where she gets all the perks (protection detail, emergency pickup, intel) with none of the commitment. When Cable drops the “future President” reveal, the script treats it like earned destiny instead of something she has to prove.

It’s plot armor, privilege, and manufactured importance stapled onto a book that should’ve been about Cable rebuilding X-Force. We break down the dialogue, the character damage, and how this “validation-first storytelling” keeps kneecapping Marvel’s X-Men books — even when the art and premise are trying to do something cool.
