Today I'm trying the Marshall 1959 Super Lead Distortion Pedal. It's a Plexi in a small box, and it costs under a tenth of what the real thing would cost. Of course you'll be needing some kind of power amp solution, but that's as may be. It's all pointless if it doesn't sound good.
