This animation shows the Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover spacecraft on its way to the Red Planet, as seen via our robotic telescopes, about 10 hours after its launch. In other words, it is a view of Perseverance from our home planet Earth.
As time flies, you see the spacecraft moving across the sky. Considering the duration of the movie and the real time span covered by the images used to make it, the motion you see is almost 300X faster than in reality.
