San Diego City Councilmember and congressional candidate Marni von Wilpert recently shared that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Earlier this month, she announced she had successful surgery for early-stage breast cancer and said her prognosis was excellent. She discussed her experience and how it has affected her work on the City Council and her campaign.
