3D printing meets Wall Street. When Markforged IPO’d on the New York Stock Exchange, they wanted to go big by 3D printing their own metal ticker bell. When the team rings the bell on the stock exchange floor to celebrate their listing, they’ll be the first company since 1870 to ring in their listing on their own bell.
Using Markforged printers, the engineering team worked to get the design just right. Using a mix of materials native to the Markforged additive manufacturing platform, the team designed a modern bell using 17-4 Stainless steel, Onyx reinforced with continuous carbon fiber, copper and more.
