Hello All,

While learning abstract art techniques has been a very satisfying journey I realize every day that I will probably always consider myself a beginner. I've learned many things about myself including my natural tendencies which I'm embracing as my own "style". One of my favorite things is to start a piece with no direction or expectation; just let it flow. What I have found is that if I start a piece and have to walk away for a bit because of time, I may lose the flow and then feel stuck when I come back to it and have a hard time getting back in the groove. The other thing is I imagine I hear things like for your art to be successful you need to have this or that, which in my case might be open space or restraint. When I start to hear those voices, I find I have a hard time committing to the next mark and deciding when a piece is finished. In this video, I'll share a tip that I have found very helpful. I hope someone out there will find it useful as well.

Enjoy!

While this short video sidetracked me for a minute, I will be continuing work on my gel print art series so if you haven't been watching it you can find the playlist here: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLZLDkP8ZTq05aBxe7Rh3-WO1un71ybk9
