If you're a fan of Minnesota Slimz aka Malik Kahaar Ali (a member of East Coast underground rap group Soul Kid Klik), you may not know what he done back when he first joined the rap game back in 1990. "All in a Day's Work" is a rap concept album exploring three different themes (love, a "world of confusion", and what I would like to call a "day in the life of an MC") and his only album released under the Mark Dee banner during his tenure with MCA Records. Citing influences such as De La Soul, Eric B. and Rakim, N.W.A., Slick Rick, and Heavy D. and the Boyz, Mark Dee's cool rapping is backed by a funky New Jack Swing polishing by producers Dennis Kid and Michael Looks.
