Well, it wasn't at DK Jungle, but Donkey Kong's team was the home team. There wasn't much scoring in the beginning, but after the 3rd inning, things really got interesting as the Daisy Flowers get 2 runs on the board in the top of the 4th. Donkey Kong got a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 5th. I have no idea how that ball stayed fair, but I won't complain. The CPUs were down 3 runs now. Somehow, they kept getting base hits in the top of the 6th and scored a run. That forced me to change he pitcher to Funky Kong. While Funky Kong was pitching, Toadsworth was able to drive in 2 runs as the Wiggler got stunned by the pow ball. That tied the game at 5 a piece. But the CPUs kept their streak of his going. Luigi barely got the ball past the infield for the go-ahead run. The CPUs were now leading 6-5. The hits still kept coming. Birdo made it 7-5. Finally Tiny Kong squibbed one over to the infield and that became a 4-6-3 double play to get me out of that monster of an inning. In the top of the 7th inning, Peach finally did something after getting out in her previous 3 at bats. She made it an 8-5 ballgame. So now I was down by 3 runs. I, of course, wouldn't let some CPUs beat me. In the bottom half of the 7th, DK was at the plate. He already hit a 3 run shot earlier, let's see if he can do it again. He makes full contact and that's a solo home run. I'm now down by 2 runs. In the 8th inning, I tack on another run as I hit a grounder that got through the hole. The run wouldn't have been able to score if I didn't burn Luigi with the fireball and if he didn't explode from the bob-omb. I could've tied the game on a base hit by King Boo, however there was bad baserunning on my part. Petey Piranha was thrown out in the rundown and could not get back to the bag. So it turned out to be an 8-7 game with me losing going into the bottom of the 9th inning. I wasted no time in getting the Funky Kong on base to start the inning. He was on second base, which means if I shot the ball into the gap in center field (Meaning the outfielders let it get passed them), then I could tie the game, but I had other plans in mind. Donkey Kong was back at the plate. He already had a 3-run homer and a solo homer. Could he be the hero in this one run game? You bet he was! He hit a 3rd home run. This time a walk-off 2-run home run. Which ended the game since it was the bottom of the ninth inning. Donkey Kong won the game by getting a baseball hat trick. I didn't expect the game to be so close, but it was fun playing.
