NintendoTV64 | Mario Party 9 Shy Guy Voice Clips @NintendoTV64 | Uploaded August 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
All of Shy Guy's voice clips from Mario Party 9, provided by Nate Bihldorff, reused from Mario Power Tennis, Mario Superstar Baseball, and Mario Kart 7, and reused again in Super. Along with Koopa and Kamek, Shy Guy makes his playable debut in the series (not counting the Beach Volley Folly minigame from 4), and with the latter serves as one of the player's main rivals in Story Mode, where the two of them work for Bowser and if they win the board, they'll steal all of the Mini-Stars, forcing the player to start the board over. Similarly to Hammer Bro. and Blooper in 8, completing Story Mode unlocks both of them as playable characters, although this time you unlock both of them at the same time thankfully. Like Waluigi, Shy Guy's running animation in the ND Cube games is rather awkard-looking, to say the least.
