I discovered that pausing allows you to register button presses on every frame instead of every other frame.

All of the three jumps would be cut if you cross a certain distance or if you "run out of power" (basicly, every frame the game does not register a button press, the character loses power and eventually falls). The idea was to make 1st and 2nd jump as short as possible and make one gigantic 3rd jump, but somehow it only reached 175ft. The physics are a bit weird. It seems you lose power eventually, even if you never miss a button press.

Using pause trick on 1st and 2nd jump would mean I'm closer to the 150ft sign (where the 3rd jump is cut). The closer I start the 3rd jump there, the lower I will be when the 3rd jump is cut and thus I touch the ground sooner. So I tried to look for the ideal place where to start 3rd jump and it turned out to be at 93.75ft. At this point there is the best compromise between keeping "power" and gaining height in order to gain extra distance past the 150ft break-off. 93.20ft and 94.30ft would gain less than 186.31ft, but I have not tried very much beyond that. There is a possibility I overlooked something and you can gain even more distance. It's tedious to test, though. All this pausing takes like 10 minutes each time I try.

Without pausing, TAS can get 164.50-ish ft, but I scrapped the recording of it.

CPU level in this video are set to Intense.

So what can you see if you go further to the right? Nothing, really.
