So this theme makes you believe that you're in for quite a grand battle against your rival for 26 years. Not that it's a bad thing, mind you since it's probably what Castle Dedede might've been like if it was an actual level in Kirby's Dream Land and not a boss rush stage, but what can you do? Since the entirety of world 1 in Star Allies is more or less an abridged version of Kirby's Dream Land, that of course means the core game's plot kicks off with a callback to Dream Land's plot before shifting tones to stopping a cult or whatever.
