During a set at the 2019 Historic Sutter Creek Ragtime Festival, Kylan deGhetaldi played a 30-minute-long medley of tunes from the soundtracks of Nintendo's videogames that featured the character Mario. He especially wanted to do it at the Ice Cream Emporium where so many of my videos of Tom Brier were recorded (albeit on a different piano).
Today happens to be the birthday of composer Koji Kondo who wrote many of these themes.
