Here is a little surprise for you guys ;). I loved every part (aside from editing the ivdeo lol) of the Young Link mismatch compilation project. So I felt like trying this again, with a completly different character. Even though Mario is much slower than Young Link (total time being one minute slower), and less ''fancy'', I'm very satisfied of the product.
Many, many strategies looks like the world record strategy, which is pretty sad. For many of those stages, I had other strategies which were 1 or 2 seconds slower.
So yeah, those are all records for mario, besides mario's stage (duh) and ganondorf. Record is 3.78 by ravenyte.
I would like to thank anyone who played mario mismatch, including nevake, Linksdarkarrows, superdoodleman and daskannyman. By watching your videos, it helped me finding ideas and strategies.
I would also thank again LDA for giving me ideas, and giving me the code for playing mismatch with mario :)
Also, side note for anyone who is reading through all this, I want to give credit to Nevake. This guy is the one who came up first with a Mario on Young Link strategy. Without him, I wouldn't even know it was possible. Also, he was crazy enough to get a good run with him. Only reason why my time is faster than his is because I used the UPB cancel for the first target. It took me more than 4 hours to get a single complete, because the target that is in the box is crazy hard. Which is why the run doesn't look smooth, but I don't care :P
Here is 2 things you might not know about Mario:
The UPB cancel: if you start the UPB beside the wall, and that at the end, you try to wall jump, mario will wall jump, and you will get your UPB back. This helped a lot in many stages.
Mario's side B (or the cape), gives mario a little more height, which is why I use it so often. Sometimes, I can't even reach a platform without using it, nomather what I do.
