Mario & Luigi receive a new weapon: The Hammer. With it they can break the big stone that is blocking the path to the west.

The two exit Hoohoo Village and go to the south. They meet and old man who challenges them to the Mine Carts mini-game.

The brothers accept and win the minigame. They exit this cave and find the Hammerhead Bros.

Mario & Luigi learn how to use The Hammers in battle.
