Mario & Luigi go to the equipment store and buy two Bean Trousers.
They leave the City and head to the southwest.
The mustache brothers find two Chucklehood Woods' guards that let them pass because they possess the Beanbean Brooch.
Mario and Luigi enter the Chateau de Chucklehood and find a thin and hostile thief called Popple. He gets angry with the brothers and calls Rookie to squash them. A new boss battle occurs.
Popple and Rookie. Hit Points: 100 and 120; Experience: 160; Items: 1-Up Mushroom and 1 Green Pepper. Strategy: Kill Popple first because he will steal something from you(normally a Mushroom) and it will use later on the battle. Use your Bros. Action to kill him faster. When you hit Popple, Rookie will get angry and throw some hammers on you. Use your own hammers to avoid the attack. When Popple wants to attack Luigi he will laugh. If he wants to attack Mario his face won't change. Keep using your best attacks, kill Popple and then Rookie. This is an easy battle so there is nothing more to say.
After the battle Rookie will realize that we want to take the Chuckola Reserve too. He gets angry and runs.
The two brothers save the game.
