Mario & Luigi, most commonly known as "Mario!!!", is an unofficial clone of Super Mario Bros. It was developed by Mike Wiering in 1994 to practice VGA programming and use the engine for more original games (like Charlie the Duck or Sint Nicolaas). He originally didn't intend to publish this Mario game.

However, an unfinished beta version ended up being spread around and was sold by a group called Chaos Software under the name Mario!!!. It was a modified version with added documentation and a registration form asking for $15. That version had four levels only and was impossible to finish. So, if you've played this game in the past, it was most likely that leaked version. It can still be found in shareware collections all over the world.
