Alright, so all I'm missing to finish this proof of concept is to import a Ghost Valley track, and then I'll release a patch as a sampler.
This track is taken from Cocatriz SMK 20XX hack, so all credits goes to him!
Unfortunately I had to strip down the track details, such as the snow mounds and ice reflections, so it looks a bit barren, but it was the only way I got it to import successfully.
