Footage is not mine, I do not own it.
I do not own a Wii U GamePad capture card, so I ripped NiNTENDOMiNATi0N's video that he used his capture card for.
Sorry for my absence the past 20 days, but I just can't get the editing PC for myself during summer holidays. Starting the day after tomorrow, I will be too busy for making a lot of content, but I'll try my best.

Sorry that the video is so bad quality despite being 1080p, the thing is that I ripped a video source from YouTube and that got recompressed a total of 4 times before being displayed on your screen.
Also, sorry for the full bottom screen being visable on the right-bottom corner. This is just the source video that I had to work with.
I personally don't like putting the map in right-bottom corner, because that's where the rank of the player appears in larger sized fonts. I would put it on the top-right corner myself if I don't find a better lay-out. (which I have ideas for...)
This video is just an editing test, I want to know what a good lay-out would be for Mario Kart 8 videos. Be sure to leave some feedback in the comments.
I notice that a couple of people have actually bought Katsukity's GamePad capture card, and they've not been creative with their screen lay-outs in editing, NiNTENDOMiNATi0N being a perfect example, looking at the source video I used to make this.
So, I hope those people will try to be a bit more creative, because the Wii U GamePad is just brilliant, and Chuggaaconroy has done some amazing editing on his Kid Icarus: Uprising videos, which I was inspired by to make this, also PhotobrickStudios a bit.

Comment on run:
Section 1 is good, as always, Im not very interested in Section 1 itself anymore, but 1 and 2 combined are important to me. The leanings first turns were good, 7 stunts was good, turn after Mushroom bounce was a small time loss, but .949 is excellent, too bad I lost all the time gained on the Ghost as soon as Section 2 starts.
Section 2 is as always SUPER weird. I lost all the time saved vs Ghost immidiately as this Section started, and lost even more as I landed the first Glider, this happens from time to time and is normally not a big deal because I know I can get most lost time back on the next Gliders Glider boost. The point where it gets weird is when I missed the Super Mini Turbo after the Glider bounce, the thing was that I knew I couldnt stunt through the wavy part if I continued with the Super Mini Turbo and if I tried going on the right of the hole, I knew Id lose time, which is what usually happens. Also in the back of my mind was that the angle I looked quite dangerous and if I continued with it, there was potential to completely fail this run on the spot. That is why I did a regular Mini Turbo, sacrificing all the time ahead of the Ghost. In the end I got very lucky with my Moon landing, stunt over the crator, wallboost and a tiny optimisation right before Section 3 that made me go toe-to-toe with the Ghost in the end.
Section 3 is good, I was toe-to-toe with my Ghost at the start, as always started losing a little bit of time once in the barrel for whatever reason.. Like I said in my previous WR, Section 3 new barrel strat takes luck and skill combined, I was shot out of the canon at a little bit of a worse angle because I was slightly slower than my Ghost, this gives more of a challenge when trying to do a good Glider boost. This run made me realise how perfect the Glider boost was in my previous WR, Ive tried recreating that amazing Glider boost, but I always ended up failing it for various reasons, so as I saw myself in the air, I tried to go for a much safer, slower method of doing the Glider boost, which led to some time loss, but I knew I could win back time on the final SC. Ive been practicing the final SC a lot recently, I knew I could beat my time at the very end, while being behind the Ghost, I was almost uncertain whether I was going to make the final SC as good as I intended in mid air, but I landed it almost perfectly, panicked a bit and finished the run quite fine.
First World Record with a 31.949 Section 1 and second World Record & PR ever with a 28.8XX Section 3. :)
Q: Is 1:35.9 possible?
A: As always, Im not sure because of how the position of the wavy part and barrel changes dependant on how fast you are... I honestly think the human skill limit is at 1:36.080 right now, but remember that Ive been wrong on things before...
Q: Will someone beat you?
A: At some point, maybe... Roronoa91 has been talking about how hes going to return one day. I have had no contact with Monar, ToReln and Sherry recently though.
Q: Will you continue playing?
A: Actually yes, I recently got a WR fail you can see here:

I did this time just to show how fucking bad the current Worldwide top 10 is, full of New strat times.
Im gonna show I can even beat Sams 1:37.753 with it, whenever the hell I feel like it.
Now piss off.
Ive gotten rid of the the stupid interlacing settings in Sony Vegas Pro 11 by the way, now my videos are a tiny bit better quality. [Mario Kart 7] Rainbow Road - 1:36.817 / Old strat - Gogoku7](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Leyk4P5B1zc/mqdefault.jpg)

Havent been able to make a video with my elder brother at home, but I want to make a video explaining whats going to be on my channel for the next few months. I hope to have this video done by 27th September.
Ghost was my previous PR 1:14.056 which was about the same pace, but I missed the final SMT on it.

![[Mario Kart 7] Worldwide races 14 - Marathon with Jacob on 25 August 2012
Yes, this is what Ive been working on the past 2 WEEKS.
No commentary! Theres no time for it, and I totally have no idea how to fill 30 minutes of footage with commentary, let alone a full 80 minute marathon.
I am sorry this is uploaded now, but as you know: My PC crashes somewhere at the end of 2012 before I could originally render this. I found all of the files of this Worldwide races Marathon back about 3 weeks ago, and decided to edit it all.
IT WAS A PAIN, I had to continuously re-edit every clip as the screen position always moves just a little bit at every race I recorded, its practically impossible to create any Sony Vegas Pre-sets when recording my Nintendo 3DS with my current recording set-up.
These Worldwide races were recorded 6 days after Jacob reached his maxed VR, I was on vacation when he reached it... But I spoke with Jacob through YouTube a few times, and we ultimately decided to record about 4 to 6 races. But in the end, Jacob enjoyed it so much, we actually decided to make it a 2 hour long marathon of continuous races.
Jacob had not done a single Worldwide race after reaching maxed VR, but he especially made some time to just to race with us, he was in fact doubting whether he was going to continue Worldwide racing afterwards.
I unfortunately could not record EVERY race we had because of the SD card capacity, but I did get at least 80% of all the races done.
One this I would like to adress is that I did not teamwork with Jacob at all, I am going to agree with Angek that it looks like it, but it is NOT truly what I was doing. I realized that it was only 6 days ago that Jacob had reached maxed VR, and he hadnt done any Worldwide race since. He went through many hardships and countless hours of of stress just to be the first to reach maxed VR, I personally did not want him to lose his maxed VR, giving him more stress at my hand, so I refrained from racing aggressive towards him, and decided to just monitor how our lines are compared to another.
I hope you enjoy this as much as Angek, Davide, Asis and Jacob did and I did.
I added annotations which can be clicked to skip to the next video.
Challenge: Can you spot the 2 seconds of secret commentary? Post in a comment what time in the video it is when you hear it.
Trivia
Videos file size: 3,61 GB

Some people seem to like reading through it. so... might as well.
Now that I got this out of the way, I finally have time to work on my next MarioKartCinema video. And ofcourse, my Lets play of Pokémon Stadium.

![[Mario Kart 7] Rainbow Road - 2 new Best Splits
New 1080p video test.
My Best Splits:
Section 1: 31.966
Section 2: 35.233
Section 3: 28.951
While this is cool and all, I personally think that due to the inconsistant position of the wavy part in Section 2, the inconsistent position of Section 3 and due to just being nervous, it is physically impossible to perform all these 3 splits in one run.
Same implies to Monars, ToRelns and Sherrys Best Splits.
So, I think that we should therefore not ENTIRELY rely on the Best Known Splits for measuring the time limit of this track.
I could be wrong, I could be right on this. This is just my opinion, and feel free to discuss about it. [Mario Kart 7] Rainbow Road - 2 new Best Splits](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/OtAv19uabNs/mqdefault.jpg)

Recorded using my dads tripod and the 3DS flat on the table, tell me what you think, especially how to improve and I might buy my own tripod to use for recording.
Did only 5 minutes of color correcting.
Yes, we were playing with quite some lag...
Match started off with demonstrating Custom Special moves I was using.
