While looking into how matchmaking works in this game I came across something interesting, which allowed me to search for players in a separate matchmaking system than normal world wides. In this video, Pablo and I showcase use matching up in an unused "region" and racing in it without anyone who isn't running the patch finding us. So, what can this be used for? You guessed it, custom track worldwides. Just like in Mario Kart Wii, you will be able to match up with people running the same custom track pack as you and race with them. This will be implemented into CTGP-7 at a later date. Anyways, enjoy the video :P

This item is an unused model located inside the racecommon.szs as itemKouraBlue.bcmdl The reason for it being there is unsure, but all we can speculate is that it was a test item used for testing purposes. In this video, I show that its possible to load the unused item via editing the games code. Note that the original item function of this item was removed in the final version of the game, therefore it does not exist in the games code. In order to circumvent this, I load the blue turtle shell over the green shell function which gave it all of the green shell properties.
Loading this item model was made possible with a little code I made. This code could unlock a lot of potential in regards to creating new item entries. With enough research, new item entries could be made which could restore other scrapped items such as, the fake item boxes. Unfortunately, this is a small step towards that goal and I dont see it happening anytime soon, but maybe we might see it sometime in the not so near future :P

A proof of concept of a fully functional item targeting being used online. This code was made with assembly as well as some Gateway magic. (Note that I am the Lakitu.) The code teleports items to the targeted player causing them to always get hit. Because of how destructive this code can be it will not be released to the public.

This is a pretty interesting code. It works like mdmwiis original lightning detector code, however ours warns you via timer. It took a while to get it to work perfectly. The timer will display 99:59.999 and will blink red if someone is holding a lightning.
We are unsure of the release for this code, it could be abused in clan wars and such.")
