Every wonder why it's nearly impossible to catch up to an A.I. controlled character once it disappears from your screen? Game logic no longer applies to the CPU off screen giving them an unfair advantage. The game has been set only "render" the northern coordinates. Luigi, whom is controlled by the games' A.I will demonstrate the cheating that goes off the screen. Also, Luigi is set to always come in first, so he will have the fastest velocity.

*Things to note. Watch the speedometer. When you can see Luigi, game logic is being applied to him. Once he disappears the cheating will occur. For this track, the 360 turn where the big star is located will always respect game logic whether the A.I is off screen or not. Sometimes during normal game play, a CPU character may get stuck there and not be able to correct itself because it is not allowed to go through walls and whatnot.
