I just managed to unlock all Star and Super Star characters, so I decide to show off their stats for anyone interested in unlocking a particular one.
In order to unlock them in this game, you need 1000 Character points for Star and another 2000 (for a total of 3000) for Super Star. As you upgrade them, they obtain 30 yards to their drive, slightly worse control, and better spin.
This is an updated version of the last video because it turns out the boost in drive is significantly smaller in Speed Golf/Battle Golf, which starts off at 1:15. This is due to Star characters being limited to their 3 Wood club as their strongest club instead of their 1W and Super Star characters being limited to 5 Wood club as their strongest.
