All of Toadette's voice clips from Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, provided by Samantha Kelly and reused entirely from Mario Kart Wii, Mario Super Sluggers, and Mario Kart 8. Toadette makes her debut in the series as the guest character for the 110m Hurdles event, effectively replacing Toad from the previous game. As a Speed-type character, she is naturally very fast and a good choice for this specific event, so in a sense she can also be considered a replacement for Nabbit, who was exclusive to the 100m event in the previous game.
