The UK Overseas Territory of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Island is home to tens of millions of seabirds and marine mammals, as well as diverse plant and invertebrate communities and marine ecosystems.

Located in the sub-Antarctic, the islands of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Island are of hemispheric importance as key breeding sites for wildlife that migrates across the entire Southern Ocean.

This film explores the marine mammals of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, including elephant seals, fur seals, whales and more.
