Instead of a support band for the final night at Marillion’s Port Zélande weekend, the band took to the stage for a chat and some fun and games in an ‘Audience With Marillion’, hosted by band manager Lucy Jordache.
h, Mark, Ian, Steve and Pete had already performed two completely different shows to the 3,000 fans who had travelled from over 40 countries at this, the eighth Port Zélande edition of their infamous Marillion Weekend, and the also first to have been held there for four years due to Covid. This Q and A session preempted their third and final show of the weekend on the Sunday evening.
Featuring video tributes from fans and fellow musicians, a revealing look into the (lack of) knowledge of their own song titles, a marriage proposal and a photo call with the ladies of Marillion, this is a fun and relaxed 45 minutes in the company of a band that holds its relationship with its fans close to its heart.
