Description This is my first try at painting gold. I followed advice from another artist and this is what turned out. Henry A.R R. you see here the lights that the varnish on the paint does and how it shows up in bright light. So varnish only when the paint has dried for at least a year. Oils tend to darken when it is dry and you have to use a good varnish to bring the colours back. Marie
