Folk artist Marian McLaughlin wrote to us a few months back letting us know she'd be in town for an show at Little Berlin here in Philadelphia and asked if we'd be interested in filming a session with her beforehand. After listening and watching her Tiny Desk concert at NPR, we knew it would make for an interesting acoustic session. She didn't bring the string ensemble she had for the Tiny Desk show, but had an upright bassist accompany her. She promised she'll have a trio next time.
