I had never heard of this tune until a viewer requested that I try to learn the Ry Cooder version. After listening to Cooder's version, I decided it was way too difficult. And I think he plays it in an altered tuning, which I try to avoid. Plus he plays it with so much rubato I would never figure out the rhythm of it. But then I listened to a vocal version by Dick Todd and decided it had potential in a simpler arrangement. And finally, I found an existing guitar arrangement by Steve Gorman, which perfectly suited my taste. Thanks, Steve. He saved me mucho labor. This arrangement is not identical to his (I can never get things right), but it bears some resemblence to his work.
