GETchan | 義勇軍進行曲 (廣東話版) - March of the Volunteers (Cantonese Version) @GETchan | Uploaded 1 year ago | Updated 14 hours ago
A Cantonese recording of "March of the Volunteers", nowadays known as the National Anthem of the People's Republic of China. This recording was performed in Hong Kong in 1936 in support of the resistance against the Empire of Japan. Nowadays, Cantonese recordings are quite scarce as the anthem is typically sung in Mandarin instead, even in Hong Kong and Macau. A Cantonese version of the song with completely different lyrics was also sung around the same time and can be found here: youtu.be/q0FXCrZ9CeQ
