The North Carolina Tar Heels visiting the UCLA Bruins at Pauley Pavilion in a rematch of the 1968 NCAA national championship game in college basketball which was played at LA Memorial Sports Arena. During 1:31 in the first half (25:05) and the last four minutes of the second half (46:12), you see two backboards being shattered by a slam dunk, but then the glass backboard is magically repaired right after that and the game continues both times without being suspended and to its end, unlike what happened on November 6, 1970 when Charlie Hentz of the Pittsburgh Condors shattered two backboards against the Carolina Cougars at J.S. Dorton Arena in Raleigh, NC during an ABA game that resulted in the game being delayed for over an hour in the second quarter as a new wooden backboard was installed and glass shards were cleared after the first backboard was shattered and the second backboard was shattered in the fourth quarter with 1:07 remaining, but there were no more replacements available which resulted in the game being over afterwards. The Carolina Cougars still won that game by a score of 122-107 before 4,041 fans. Charlie Hentz's jumping and dunking abilities gave him the nickname of "The Helicopter". This is the first time that I've seen a backboard shatter in NCAA March Madness '98 on the PS1.
