An Evening with... Marcello Duarte, Milan, March 1 2018.
Teamwork does not happen in a vacuum. Groups don't just start behaving like teams just because you seat them next to each other and tell them they are a team. Teamwork can be taught and the conditions for team cohesion can be created. Just what is a team? How does it differ from a group of people? Why is cohesion important? How to achieve it?
Marcello will share some of his experience as a sociologist coaching software development teams since 2007 with particular emphasis on how to get teams to work as teams.
Making its appearance for our third meetup (organised thanks to our friends Coworking Login/Log.ED Milano - https://www.coworkinglogin.it/) is Marcello Duarte aka @_md, currently Lean/Agile Coach at OvoEnergy in London.
Marcello also won “Best UK Agile Coach/Mentor (Technical)” at the UK Agile Awards in 2014 and he's the co-creator of PHPSpec, a php toolset to drive emergentdesign by specification.
On March 1st, Marcello was in Milan to teach the first edition of his workshop "Lean and Functional Domain Modelling" (info: http://www.avanscoperta.it/it/training/lean-and-functional-domain-modelling/) and he also presented a talk for our serie "An Evening with... ".
