Marc Marquez has won San Marino GP three times: Once in 125cc (2010) and twice in Moto2 (2011 and 2012). In his debut season in the premier class he took second at Misano, after taking pole and the lap record with a time of 1:32.915.
- Dani Pedrosa won the 2010 MotoGP race, also taking pole and setting the fastest lap.
- Alex Rins took the win last year in Moto3 and Alex Marquez completed the podium with a third place, setting the track record with a time of 1'43.293.
