Build a marble run roller coaster! For the past few years we've been building roller coasters for this YouTube channel and I thought I would show you what the process looks like. The toy is called Quercetti Skyrail Roller Coaster.

Here's a few more tips:

1. Metal marbles are better at taking turns but worse at doing loops and going up hills. Plastic marbles fly off turns easily but can do maneuvers better because they are lighter. Glass marbles are a good in-between: not too light and not too heavy.

2. The spin of the marble affects its traction, and it's hard to see if your marble doesn't have a pattern on it.

3. The more supports you use, the sturdier your roller coaster will be and the faster your marble will go.

4. Real roller coasters have wheels that prevent the cars from flying off of the track. Miniature roller coasters don't.

5. The longer you want your track to be, the more gradual you should make the slope. Intense or sudden changes in direction will slow the marble down.

6. Add a theme to make it look cool.
