[MapleStory SEA] Hard Lucid Solo with VanarisDB (Dual Blade)
Dedicated to all Dual Blades.
Since the cheese for Night Lord's Spreadthrow on Phase 3 is no big feat, some of my Dual Blade buddies were wondering if we would suffer in the genesis quest as a Dual Blade. Fret not, it can be done. 1 minute buffs can be cast just before dealing the killing blow on Phase 2, and be sure to move during Blade Storm to prevent the attack block after 30 seconds in the same spot, timing can be more comfortable. For reference, I'm using a 2 second cooldown reduction hat in this run instead of CarteThrone's 3 second reduction. And oh, Asura for bomb is just so sweet.
Recommended cycle for Phase 3:
Blade Tornado - Karmic Fury - Phantom Blow for 3 seconds - Blood for Blood 2 - Blade Storm - Blade Tornado - Karmic Fury - Ring of Restraint - Phantom Blow - Blade Tornado - Karmic Fury

The End Game - Black Mage with VanarisDB.
Once the liberation of Genesis Dagger is out of the way, I have been playing completely different. Took a week off to practice the authentic way, with brave, constant engagement and feeling confident of ducking most of the push attacks from Black Mage. This run is significantly faster than our previous runs despite the change of roster as a result. Really satisfied with the first half of the fight, before I got complacent and started leaking lives trying to squeeze in an extra attack every now and then. Hope to keep this rhythm up in future Black Mage runs!
A well deserved congratulations to OnyxBasilisk for his first clear on his main character; he has been an awesome pilot for our kanna(s) on our road to liberating our Genesis weapons.
A huge congratulations to the third party from Aquila clearing Black Mage just before our run started! As more and more parties are attempting the boss, we hope to hear good news from a 4th, or possibly a 5th team clear this month!
There will unfortunately be yet another slight tweak to the lineup next month, with Dazzleee leaving the squad to join up with his guildmates. We will be expecting a new addition next month hence it might take a while to get him accustomed to managing the boss fight in September, lets keep our hopes down on an early clear. Everything is gelling in place... except for the server. Lag spikes caused a few unfortunate team deaths in phase 2. Managed to change full set of drop rate gears before clearing, got a Arcaneshade Knuckle! This is probably the week where everyone is ready to tackle the boss like basic routine without any troubles from now onwards.

Plenty of 60F clearers this week so I thought I would try with seed rings for the first time in a while. For gods sake I couldnt even remember to switch hats for Blade Storm when Ive already placed it right beside my rings...
Its a pretty interesting experience though, I learn to appreciate how the excellent dojo players have to keep trying to figure out their seed ring and buff rotations combined with different skill timings; Ill strive to do better when I try dojo again maybe in July. Meanwhile, hope youre entertained by my random unplanned seed ring rotations~")
