Pretty stacked party clearing Heretic Hilla. Unfortunately I hit record only midway thru the fight. This is a tough boss in terms of team coordination and control. having BoD on the entire team makes it alot easier understandably. There are multiple safe spots to dodge puppet strings around the map, hope this video points them out! Enjoy~

At last a clear with the original 6, with all making it til the end! With time and practice (and the ring that made every other party relevant), the fight is easier to manage and players like MrZaiRONG and OnyxBasilisk are handling their lives well without having the help of Breath of Divinity. Been waiting for this original 6 to gather and clear since the boss was released! Unfortunately some of us are unable to train to 255 to run Djunkel together, I hope to 255 by May so I can post some Djunkel videos on my DB. Til then, enjoy!

Its here! We swapped our hlucid rosters to match the hwill one so we can all clear bosses in one shot. Back to back runs on Kanna and DB for multiple bosses in a night feels pretty damn good. The only thing missing is luck on arcaneshade equipment drop.

This is by far the toughest challenge in the list of Genesis Weapon quests for my team, and Im extremely proud to have cleared this mission. This was a different form of adrenaline rush; while clearing bosses for the first time involves keeping up focus and mental fortitude to survive the fight, this is a genuine Time Attack requiring lots of studying, planning and numerous practice in order to execute well in the real test.
Screwed up at the first crack - my Asura was too late, causing me to lose my Heavens Gate early, gave me a little scare. Phase 1 Segment 3 was a little too close for comfort. First two casts of Mirrored Target in Phase 3 didnt work, and when I planted it for the third time I was knocked back into the web, definitely wasnt ideal. Left out Ring of Restraint for Phase 2 Segment 2s Blade Storm, wasting a few seconds. My second Blade Storm + Lucid bind in Phase 3 was without Ultimate Dark Sight and/or Poison, which is a blatant mistake that could have cost the entire fight.
After trying for a week expending daily practice runs and trying the real test several times, Im very satisfied and relieved to have cleared this achievement with the help of supporting teammates. Credits to CarteThrone for lending me his 23* cooldown reduction hat and his brilliant ideas for Phase 3, as well as ZehroHH for supporting me in discord for this run! Thanks to PuaPehNurse2 for working with me through the test, calming me down, giving constant pointers and reminders along the way. Looking forward to your Strikers clear next!
To quote @ZomgNit: If anyone out there is struggling with Hard Will, or any other boss, I highly recommend studying vods of your class clearing, even if its from another region. Youll likely learn a lot about what made their clear possible, and in the process youll learn how to make it possible for yourself.
Available resources:
CarteThrones 3sec cooldown reduction hat - makes both nukes readily available to generate more lines and damage more frequently.
Very Sturdy Krrr Ring - provides a 9sec invulnerability state which is useful if struggling with Phase 1 segment test solo and especially in Phase 3s execution of Blade Storm after webs flood the screen.
Asura - provides resistance to super knockback as well as protects you from screen crack mechanics in Phase 1. Casting it right at the end of Spirit of Freedoms expiry allows me to still deal some damage after my character is sealed from webs in Phase 3.
Mirrored Target - especially useful in Phase 3, distracting Will from knocking me back into the webs. Reducing the number of hits taken from Will in Phase 3 has also increased my Moonlight regeneration overall allowing me to clear more webs before they flood the screen.
Comeback II special core - reduces the cooldown of iframes available by 30% roughly every alternate death in Phase 3, it procs every 1 min so its probably ideal to swap back and forth your damage core after every death.
Poison - Only available in Phase 3, note the animation of Will just before Poison buffs/debuffs your character. This is the main source of damage in Phase 3, as it provides your character with 100% final damage. Try and time your biggest skills+binds and subsequent revives with this proc of Poison.

Thank you everyone who has been through on this journey with me, past and present. To be able to complete the game is something thats unthinkable of when I first started playing this game again 3.5 years ago. Leveling to 275 would have been ridiculous without the quarantine. Clearing Black Mage was an over ambitious thought a year ago. Clearing Hard Will and Hard Lucid Solo quests for Genesis Weapon seemed impossible 6 months ago. And now here we are!
The liberation of the Genesis Dagger is pretty much a trophy to be shared with each and every one of my buddies, guild mates and team mates who have helped me along thus far, some of whom are now good friends in real life. To be able to mark my 275 with the teams success of Genesis Weapon liberation for the 3 of us is an absolute honour. I just want to give my most heartfelt thanks to you guys. This is a celebration for everyone who has been a part of VanarisDB. Love you all!
