While we are still waiting for more news about Global MapleStory Classic World, something very interesting has been happening over in China. China MapleStory Classic already had their “Return to the Island” test, and at first this looked like a version of Classic World that was moving much faster than GMS. The Chinese version was announced and then only about a month later they were already testing it. It even launched the test with the Pirate class included, so on paper it looked like they were a few steps ahead. But then the beta happened, and from what I could tell, the reaction from the Chinese MapleStory community was… not great. Actually it was so bad that the test is now ending earlier than planned, and the MapleStory operation team posted a full apology to the players.
