In this educational video, Justin Moon, HRF’s AI for Individual Rights technical lead, joins Anthony Ronning, Maple AI’s chief technology officer, to discuss how activists can use Maple, a private AI assistant, in their work. They demonstrate how to navigate the application, create anonymous accounts, and privately search the web. This technology allows human rights defenders working with sensitive information to leverage AI capabilities without compromising their security.

Maple AI is an end-to-end encrypted AI assistant where users can privately chat with top open models in a Chat-GPT-like interface.
