Description: In 2016 , F4E* has contracted CNIM for the development of the manufacturing process and the production of three Pre-Compression Rings (PCRs), glass/epoxy composite rings located in the core of the ITER fusion reactor. Beginning in 2019, CNIM has contracted CNIM to manufacture six additional PCRs. These are real structural elements of the Tokamak that will be subjected to very high loads (~500 MPa in annular tension) and a temperature of 4K when ITER is in operation.
