We visited Manuel Antonio National Park while we were staying in Jaco, Costa Rica. On the way there we stopped at the Backyard Bar in Playa Hermosa. Manuel Antonio National Park is beautiful with well maintained trails with the perfect combination of jungle and beaches where you might see frogs, deer, raccoons, sloths and monkeys. You can explore the park on your own or you can hire a guide that brings his own telescope so you can see the animals up close. On the way back we stopped at the El Avion Restaurant which is an old Fairchild C-123 plane that used to run weapons up to Contras during the war in Nicaragua in the 1980's.
