When I was about 7, I had a lot of recurring dreams.
I remember one that took place in a quiet, tiny meadow wrapped in a brook.
In the center of the meadow, there was a tree.
And every time I crossed the brook to stand in its shade...
There was a man.
But I could never recognize his face or coat.
He would hand me a painted egg, then entreaty me to hunt down the rest.
Only when I examined the egg would I realize that I was in a nightmare.
The paint was so bright, so wonderful.
It was more detailed than anything I had ever seen in the waking world.
And then I would look up, and see the rest of the meadow's colors.
It was all so real, more real than anything I had ever known.
And yet, there was nothing but empty white beyond the meadow.
Eventually, I would be blinded.
And so, overwhelmed, I would awake in the darkness of my bedroom.
Years and years later, I found him.
Or maybe he found me.
A forgotten friend, waiting patiently?
An old foe, preying on my deepest fears?
...I don't know, I don't know.

That intro is so intentionally dissonant that I dont know if Ill ever think it sounds right, but it certainly does get my attention before shifting into the smooth melody!")

My first go at this was pretty primitive, so Im more than happy to finally expand on it. Some things got cleaned up, while other things got dirtier to better fit the image of an unscrupulous fighter I was going for.
Speaking of, I really hope they come back to this guy some day. He had an interest in Akumas skills way back when, and Sagats had his turn overcoming the Satsui no Hado... Just saying, itd be a pretty cool place to take Adons character.")
