Manitoba Hydro’s Forest Enhancement Program is rooted in a commitment to invest in both the environment and the communities we call home. By supporting projects that expand tree canopy and green spaces, the program helps ensure Manitoba’s forests remain healthy, diverse, and widespread for generations to come.
Manitoba Hydro is proud to recognize Mulvey School as the 2026 Forest Enhancement Program recipient. Located in Winnipeg’s Wolseley neighbourhood, the school held a day of tree planting dubbed “A Treemendous Planting Day” where students and staff worked together to assist in the planting of 25 trees in their schoolyard.
Since 1995, Manitoba Hydro’s Forest Enhancement Program has funded hundreds of community tree planting projects across the province.
Mulvey school’s project is a clear example of how local efforts to plant trees can make a tangible difference in their community.
