What is thiiiis...? Three complete storyboarded Animated Music Videos made last year!
There are actually seven storyboards for AMVs for Strong Hearts Are Mandatory I made last year, trying to get into the style I want for the series, but the other four were started with outline, so you'll either see four finished AMVs posted later this year, or a compilation of those, too!
For right now, though, I have a few MAP parts and commissions to focus on, so since I don't think I'll be progressing any of these past the state I'm posting in, I thought it would be really cool to share them all with you!
Details on the AMVs:
Pumped Up Kicks:
Previously a storyboard for an animation I commissioned, this was an interaction test between the main three and their antagonist, Curiosity, and how they would all react under the stress of possible peril! Since it was more a style and personality test, it's safe to upload without having to warn of any spoilers, since no interaction exactly like this is really planned for the characters, but elements have now been incorporated to the story.
Ode To Sleep:
Another interaction test! This was an AMV that I had in mind for a very long time, but didn't feel I had the ability to actually storyboard, let alone animate and finish! After several attempts, I started from the beginning I wanted for the AMV, and then slowly worked my way up to the more challenging parts, and eventually succeeded! This, at first, was going to be a completely non-canon video like Pumped Up Kicks, to just be nothing more than a teaser, but when reaching about the last third of it, I had already finished the scripts' outlines and polished them to the point that I felt confident enough to start incorporating canon scenes into the video! Definitely one of my favorites, it was so much fun to make!
Cesspool of Love:
Oh dear, this was after I finished the short story prequel with Video's parents and their antagonist, Phantascope, as well as the outline of most of the story's plot, and felt ready enough to focus an entire AMV on scenes that happen in the story. Of course, many things are summarized, rushed, not given full detail, but many of these things are pretty heavy with actual scenes in the story, whether or not all of it gets screen time in the animated series ;3 This one's super personal to me. I even previously recorded a speedpaint to the song with Curiosity just to make sure I would be able to make an AMV with it! It doesn't have any color codes with the characters since I made this more for my own viewing, but I made sure each video had it's own thumbnail in a way, to give it's own hints to who is who!
