This my dad singing. He s 89 and on Apr 9 he will be 90. When he lived in England as a kid, he was "The Wonder Boy of Whitley Bay". Just a talented kid who would wear a tux and entertain, singing and dancing. He moved to Canada with his wife Doris and two boys-Michael and me, Malcolm.
Dad's got quite an ear. No training. But when I brought him to my little studio at my house, he recorded a half dozen songs. Didn't need second takes. What is especially impressive is that he can do this with two hearing aids.
This is my first shot at putting anything on YouTube, so I hope I did it right.
I'm making a CD of dad. It'll be done soon. It has a number of songs that he wrote during the war years. I made arrangements for him. Sometimes he would phone me and sing his song and then play them on his Hammond organ. Then I'd make a simple arrangement, he's record with it and then....well, here he is. Give 'em a listen.

Yesterday, I went with him to get the groceries. Took about an hour. I told him he could save 15 minutes if he didn't smoosh with the other shoppers. But he just laughed. He likes people.
