A domestic situation spiraled out of control over the weekend in Kitsap County, as a man allegedly shot his estranged wife's new boyfriend in the abdomen following a high-speed chase and car crash.

Dana Joseph McDonald was charged with two counts of attempted murder, drive-by shooting and reckless endangerment on Monday by Kitsap County prosecutors.

A 21-year-old man and his 31-year-old girlfriend were near the Kitsap County Fairgrounds on the evening of Oct. 12, where the woman was meeting her husband, identified as McDonald in court documents, so he could pick up the couple's 8-year-old son after a visit.
