It's a dramatic story of life from death. Chester Szuber had heart disease most of his life. When he became a candidate for a transplant four years ago, his daughter, Patti, became an organ donor.
In August, the 22-year-old woman was killed in a car accident. Chester’s family helped convince him Patti would have wanted him to receive her heart. What may be the first operation of its kind was performed four days after the accident.
I think it's going to make me stronger because not only do I have to consider my own health I'm taking care of Patti at the same time.
