Whenever I see references about the Reverend Joseph Lowery unfairly and unjustifiably accusing Howard Cosell of making a racist remark by using the words "little monkey," I always think of this old scene from the Twilight Zone entitled "The Fugutive."
In at least four scenes, a white man, uses the words "little monkey" as a term of endearment for a young girl with a brace on her leg.
The man refers to her as "little monkey" in a caring way. A bad move on rev. Joseph Lowery's part to dump on Cosell who was a huge proponent of Blacks and all people of color in sports.
