'I was hearing voices'

A man who admitted to killing his wife and setting the Miami home where her body was found on fire has been sentenced to life in prison.

Marcus Sanchez pleaded guilty to murder and arson in connection with the August 2024 death of Jenny Miguel, a longtime City of Miami Police Department employee. During the hearing, Sanchez described what happened the night Miguel was killed.

He told the court that he and his wife had been using drugs when he became paranoid and started hearing voices.
