Mamma Mia!:
Mamma Mia! is a 2008 jukebox musical romantic comedy film containing music directed by Phyllida Lloyd and written by Catherine Johnson based on her book of the 1999 theatre show of the same name. The film, in turn, is based on the songs of pop group ABBA, with additional music composed by ABBA member Benny Andersson. Both a prequel and a sequel, the plot is set after the events of the previous film, and is intersected with flashbacks to Donna's youth in 1979, with some scenes from the two tenses mirroring each other.
