This documentary tells the harrowing story of the Malmedy Massacre, one of the largest mass executions of American soldiers in World War II. The massacre occurred during the initial thrust of the Battle of the Bulge on December 17, 1944, when the lightly armed American convoy of the 285th Field Artillery Observation Battalion and medics was ambushed by SS-led Panzer Division commanded by Joachim Peiper near the Baugnez Crossroads outside Malmedy, Belgium.
